Green Factory.

I was paired with Alya for our science project. Our topic was photosynthesis, so we titled our project as "Green Factory". We didn't win but we had so much fun doing the project anyway. :D

For our 3D model, Alya had an awesome idea, which was to make a tree on a piece of board using papier mâché. Unfortunately, we didn't have that much time to buy plastic leaves so we used real ones. This is a bad idea because the leaves got really bad after about 24 hours. I honestly did not see that coming. Anyway, we managed to make a good model (although it didn't last for long).

Marc Chagall

Marc Chagall was born in 1887 to a poor Jewish family in Russia. He was the eldest of nine children. Chagall began to display his artistic talent while studying at school, and despite his father’s disapproval, in 1907 he began studying art with Leon Bakst in St. Petersburg. In 1985, Chagall died of a heart attack at the age of 97.

Why I chose this artist.
I chose Marc Chagall because I like the way he used his imagination for his paintings. During the Second World War, he was not afraid of painting Jewish martyrs and refugees despite the fact that it is very dangerous because of the Nazis.

How his artwork helped to define the meaning of ‘art’ in his society.
He was also a part of an art movement called “impressionism” which means an artistic style that seeks to capture a feeling or experience rather than to achieve accurate drawing. This movement also includes other famous artists like Claude Monet and Camille Pissarro.

Personal Page

Hello strangers, welcome to my awesome blog! This blog was originally made for my inter-disciplinary project but I can make a personal page, which is fun. On this page I’m going to tell you about me, people that make me smile, my dreams and my life. Hopefully you’ll enjoy reading it because I enjoy living it. ☺

Me, Myself & I
My full name is Marie Sheena Suparman but people call me Sheena. Actually, I have a lot of nicknames but I’ll keep them locked away because they are embarrassing. I’m fourteen going on fifteen and my birthday is on September 16. Not that I’m expecting presents or anything, I’m just saying. People say that we can tell someone’s personality through their hobbies. So these are my hobbies: I love to read novels, watch both TV shows and movies. As you can see, I have lazy tendencies. My hobbies are just like other teenagers’: Tweet, listen to music, curl in bed for hours, and of course, shop! When it comes to shopping, I can be very spoiled. This is one of my flaws. Just like everybody, I’m obviously not flawless. I’m not proud but also not ashamed because these are the things that make me unique. For example, I’m almost fifteen years old but my weight is less than 40 kg. I’m lucky enough to find some people who will love me no matter how imperfect I am.

People that Make Me Smile
The most important things in life aren’t things. In fact, it’s the people that we love because without them we are nothing. They are the people that make me smile and laugh everyday; the ones that shelters me from sadness and teaches me many of the lessons even though they sometimes don’t realize it. They are my family and friends. My parents are happily married and I have two siblings. My family is not as normal as you would expect. Sometimes when more relatives visit, things get twice as crazy. We go to Bandung, have a barbeque party and these things usually happen in the weekend. Once for New Year’s, we actually challenged our neighbour in a fireworks contest that lasted until way past midnight. Sometimes I feel like I’m the only sane person in the family. Basically, my daily life revolves around fun people, including my friends. We don’t act naughty in front of our teachers (do we?) but when the class is unsupervised or outside school, we don’t behave as such. You know what they say, “good girls are just bad girls that don’t get caught.” That’s why I love school because I get to meet my friends. They make me happy, cheer me up and support me. One of them is my mother. She was the one who give me confidence and told me to follow my heart and my dreams.

I Have a Dream…
“It isn’t where you come from, it’s where you’re going that counts.” Everybody has goals in life, whether it’s simple or big dreams. Simple goals are ones that we can achieve everyday. In my case, I want to make people smile, both inside and out. Then there are the bigger dreams, the one we want to achieve when we grow up, such as our ambitions. We all want to be rich. Here are my ideas of how I’m going to make a lot of money; I’ve always wanted to be a model. I think it’s the most fun job in the world! Models get to walk down the runway in designer clothing, while looking glamorous and then get paid a lot of money. It’s like a dream job! My second ambition is to be a news anchor. I don’t really know why I want to be one. Maybe because it sounds like such a simple job. Now it’s time for me to reveal my secret dream. I want to set a Guinness World Record as the skinniest human being ever! Once I set it, it’s going to be unbeatable!

The Beautiful Life
I’ve told you about me, people that I love and my dreams. In this last paragraph, I’m going to tell you about my beautiful life. Sometimes I wonder why I love my life. The answer is simple. I love my life because most children my age do not have the same privileges that I do. Some may have more, but they may not have the love that my family gives me or as many friends as I have. My life isn’t always perfect; I guess that’s normal. Sometimes when I don’t get my way, I let it go and move on, which is what we’re supposed to do, right? Anyway, I live in Jakarta. It’s a city full of traffic and shopping malls, I call it the “the New York of Indonesia”. I would say that I’m as happy as I want to be. Less homework could make me happier but again, no life is perfect.

So that’s pretty much everything that I want to share with you. My life is neither complicated, nor simple. I now think you can brag to others you know me well. Maybe someday you can even write a biography about me or make my “E! True Hollywood Story”! Thank you for reading. I’m out!
